Tilty Claret (ティルティ・クラーレット Tiruti Kurāretto) is a supporting character of the light novel series The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady. She is Anisphia's research partner and the daughter of the influential Claret family who was exiled from the main house.

Appearances[]

Tilty is a beatiful yet disheveled young woman who clearly does not look after herself properly. She has long dark violet hair that reaches to her legs and similarly purplish eyes. She also has pale skin and is of average height. In terms of attire, Tilty is always seen wearing black dresses with similarly dark black gloves and heels. Whilst out during the day, she also wears a black veil over her face to keep out sunlight.

Personality[]

While she is generally not known for having sympathy or empathy towards others, she is shown to have a softer side towards those that she has developed a bond, but she even tends to mask as well. She's shown have very little patience for Anis' antics but is willing to tolerate them.

History[]

Tilty was born into the Claret noble family, which controlled much of the farmland within the Kingdom of Palettia. However, she suffered from an affliction that left her unable to properly release her magical energy, causing her pain whenever she used it. Regardless, her traditionalist family forced her to practice magic until the pain finally caused Tilty to snap and lash out, becoming known for being a sadist. This prompted her family to cut her off and force her to live in a separate villa in the capital.

Tilty continued rampaging with her magic until she was confronted by the kingdom's First Princess, Anisphia Wynn Palettia. While initially trying to kill the royal, she was eventually subdued and forced to undergo treatment for her condition. After the cause of her ailment was discovered and she subsequently stopped using her magic, Tilty's health improved a lot, and she subsequently took up developing drugs to better treat herself. She also began taking an interest in incurable conditions like her own, which she began referring to as curses.

Abilities[]

According to Anisphia, Tilty's magical potential rivals Euphyllia's. However, she is crippled by an affliction to where she cannot properly release her magic power, causing her physical and mental pain whenever she uses her magic. As a result, she only ever uses it as a last resort.

Natural Abilities[]

  • Medical Knowledge: Due to her condition, Tilty took up researching incurable conditions, which she refers to as "curses", and is now the Kingdom of Palettia's greatest expert on the subject, with even Anisphia seeking her council on occassion. She is also noted that she is the only person who can evaluate the side-effects of Anisphia's Impressed Seal.
  • Drug Production: Due to being reliant on medicine to release her magic power, Tilty took to producing drugs and Anisphia regularly comes to her to help develop new steroids.

Magic[]

  • Dark Magic: Tilty specializes in Dark Magic, which involves weakening and restraining living creatures. Her skill with it is so great that she was effortlessly able to subdue an entire room of nobles.
  • Magic Power: Tilty has a huge amount of magic power; so huge, in fact, that she struggles to properly release it, resulting in her condition where the simple act of using magic leaves her in pain.
  • Magic Flow: Due to her condition, Tilty learned to sense the flow of magic power within herself and others through skin contact.

Weaknesses[]

  • Magic Backlash: Tilty's greatest weakness is her aforementioned condition that causes her pain whenever she uses her magic to the point of collapse, once falling unconscious for several days after using her full power.
  • Drug Reliance: Due to her condition, Tilty regularly needs to take medicine to allow her to properly release her magic power. Failure to do so will cause her to be in constant pain.
